INITIAL ASSESSMENT

A comprehensive initial assessment is completed in order to establish an appropriate starting point for individual programming. Information will be gathered in areas including: medical history, current health status, goals, current function, level of cardio fitness and potential muscle imbalances. If any significant health concerns arise during assessment, doctor's clearance will be required prior to commencing an exercise program. 

 

PERSONAL TRAINING (INDIVIDUAL)

Training sessions are personally tailored to be based on your goals and abilities with the aim of helping you achieve your fitness goals safely and efficiently. Programs include flexibility, core, balance and plyometrics (as appropriate), as well as, resistance and cardio programming. Sessions will progress through stabilization, strength and power levels of training with the aim of progressing strength, endurance and fitness goals in a systematic manner. Assessment is on-going and programs may be re-evaluated as needed. 

 

PERSONAL TRAINING (TANDEM)

In tandem sessions, train with your partner or a workout buddy in order to get fit and healthy together. These sessions are geared towards two clients who have similar fitness levels and goals. With tandem sessions you can increase accountability and save money!

SMALL GROUP TRAINING

Small groups are limited to a maximum of four people. Circuit format includes a warm up, dynamic stretches, core, balance and plyometrics (as appropriate), as well as resistance exercises and cardio. Small group work helps to foster team work and accountability. Workouts are varied in order to avoid adaptation.

 

RELAXATION

Stress is a necessary part of life, but it can become harmful if it is chronic. Relaxation strategies can help to return balance in the nervous system. Muscular relaxation and deep breathing help to reduce stress, relieve tension and reduce shallow breathing associated with stress and anxiety. Relaxation sessions can be done one on one or in small group and tailored to the needs of the participant(s). Please contact me to discuss details. You deserve it!

LOCATION

Training sessions take place in the South Surrey White Rock area. As a private contractor, I conduct my sessions at the South Surrey Recreation Centre, which has a well-equipped fitness facility. I am open to completing sessions outdoors or in-home, if you prefer. Please feel free to contact me to discuss details of services and location.
